REDESIGNING CHECKOUT

At PeachPay, I focused on optimizing the e-commerce checkout experience. By developing personas and journey maps, I used Figma and Sketch to streamline the checkout flow, enhancing usability and conversions.

During weekly standups, I facilitated reviews of new design iterations with our developers, applying my extensive experience with design tools to meet user requirements. My role also involved coordinating with our CEO and engineers, using feedback from usability tests and merchant interviews to refine our features.

My technical skills came into play as I contributed to the development side, coding with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and React.js. This ensured our design intentions were perfectly translated into a functioning checkout system, offering a dependable and swift purchasing process for users.

WEB PRODUCT DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

During a summer project, I had the privilege of leading a UI redesign project for a marketing website, which involved taking the website from its initial concept to a fully functional and responsive end product. My role began with researching and implementing latest, at that time, UI trends that would best resonate with our target audience, while also staying true to the brand’s identity. Collaborating intimately with a team of skilled developers, I engaged in hands-on coding—employing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript—to craft a site that was as visually pleasing as it was technically sound, ensuring optimal performance across all device types. The result was a significant user engagement uplift, evidenced by reduced bounce rates and extended session times, and stakeholders praised the site for its polished aesthetic and intuitive navigation. This project was not only a testament to the power of effective teamwork but also underscored my commitment to creating user-centered web experiences that drive business results.
